Eleanor and Martyn got married in winter at the gorgeous Pendrell Hall, which is a fancy country house in Wolverhampton. It was the most beautiful wedding and the sun shone all day long!
Bridal prep
Eleanor got ready in the bridal suite at Pendrell Hall with her bridesmaids, and the atmosphere was so calm. Eleanor’s bridesmaids hadn’t seen Eleanor’s wedding dress before she unveiled it, so we made sure no one was in the room while I grabbed a few snaps of it hanging up. The girls then walked down the beautiful staircase at Pendrell to get to the ceremony. At this point everyone was in the ceremony room other than Eleanor, her bridesmaids and her dad so no one could see her before they made their grand entrance.
Getting hitched
The ceremony was a legal ceremony in a beautiful room at the venue. I love Pendrell Hall’s ceremony room, the light in there is always beautiful! Eleanor and Martyn had also really lucked out with the weather, so the sun was shining through the windows for the entire service. During the ceremony they read their own vows. It was so emotional and such a personal service. I love when couples decide to write their own vows for each other, it always adds a really personal element to the ceremony!
Wedding Reception at Pendrell Hall
The reception was in the bar at the venue. They chose Pendrell Hall because it has so many options and they just fell in love with it. It was a really sunny winter wedding, which was super lucky and really beautiful. I love shooting Pendrell Hall weddings because they’re always so relaxed. Pendrell Hall has so many options for where you can hold your ceremony and do things like couple portraits. There’s a hidden garden in one section of the ground that I just love for couple portraits. They’ve also just added a twilight section that is covered in fairy lights, it looks amazing in the evening!
They had gin and tonics all round in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. There was a gin theme running throughout Eleanor and Martyn’s wedding, they had a gin bar for all their guests to help themselves to and all their tables were named after different gins. They decorated the venue with gin and flowers, because it looked beautiful.
For dinner they had proper wedding grub, which was absolutely delicious. The food at Pendrell Hall is always amazing! The first dance was to Fleetwood Mac’s Everywhere which was amazing, and they finished off the evening with sparklers.
The most memorable part of the day was the dancing, because everyone was on the dancefloor making some shapes!
The couple
Eleanor wore a gorgeous Theia Couture Dress and Martyn wore a very dapper Duncan James suit and they looked so incredible. Eleanor’s dress was amazing, along with her beautiful hair, she was giving off hollywood glamour vibes.
