All these little moments that make up the big picture of your day, the story of the two of you.
Everything from your dad seeing you in your dress for the first time to that first look at your partner after your ceremony, the “we-actually-got-married!” look.
I love travelling and reading, especially with my wonderful husband Luke! When I’m not shooting weddings you’ll find me curled up with a book with my dog, Cooper (otherwise known as Mr Too). I’m slightly dog obsessed so I always get super excited whenever anyone says they’re including their dog in their wedding!
I spend a lot of time hanging out with my friends and family and nothing makes me happier than going round a friend’s house for a brew, a chat a cuddle with their dog. I try to visit around three different countries a year to keep up with my travelling needs! 2018 was a real highlight when I visited Australia, Poland and Amsterdam, I don’t have any travelling plans for this year yet but I can’t wait to see what 2023 brings!
As well as being dog obsessed I also bloody LOVE reading. I’m currently taking part in the Goodreads 50 book challenge, you can keep up to date with my reading habits on Instagram! Outside the world of weddings I also shoot book cover photography, so you may well see me on a cover the next time you’re in Waterstones! I would absolutely LOVE to photograph a book themed wedding (bonus points if you include Harry Potter or His Dark Materials!)
My love of people is what made me want to become a photographer. I absolutely adore getting to meet new people and this job means I get to do that nearly every weekend. I’ve been a wedding photographer for eight years and to me it’s just the best job in the world. The best thing about being a wedding photographer is that I get to shoot people in love and create photographs with real meaning. My favourite part about my job is the fact that my work will outlive me. Perhaps 100 years from now, your relatives will be looking at photographs from your wedding day that I’ve taken, this is the part of my job that I think is so cool and also so important!
Your wedding is all about having a wonderful time with your favourite people. You don’t care about having 191 group shots and you’re definitely not interested in ugly chair covers – you just want to eat, drink and be merry with your favourite people. If this sounds like you, and you don’t think I’m a total dick (or maybe you do and you like it!) then get in touch!
“Lisa was so lovely to have there on the day. She really put us at ease, especially in our first look. We are so happy to have found Lisa as we love her natural and creative style.”
Take a peek to see me in action…
A massive thank you to the very talented Harry Fisher Films for capturing me having an absolute blast photographing Verity and Dave’s wedding!
I'm always on hand to help do up dresses, tie ties, attach buttonholes, move tables and chairs, to make sure you eat the canapés you've paid for and anything else you might need on your wedding day. I spend most of the wedding day blending in with your guests and capturing beautiful, natural photographs of you and your family and friends having a wonderful time. These types of shots are called candid photographs, they’re completely unposed and they’re always my favourite shots to take on a wedding day. There’s nearly always at least one person at a wedding who doesn’t like having their photograph taken, so generally the best way to get a beautiful photo of them laughing is to do this when they don’t know they’re having their picture taken. I always tell my couples to just simply ignore me (unless I speak to you!), the best feedback that I get from weddings is my couples saying they barely noticed I was there – that’s exactly what I’m aiming for to give you some really natural photographs from your wedding day.
My approach to couple portraits is really relaxed. I don’t do any awkward posing and you certainly won’t be spending the entire time looking at the camera! It’s really as simple as having a cuddle, having a chat and having a laugh together. I may well ask you to say silly things to each other to make each other laugh and there’s a good chance I’ll make myself look a bit of a muppet but I promise, just trust the process and your photographs will be beautiful.

If you're looking for someone to photograph the important things at your wedding, you and your guests having a great time, then you should definitely hire Lisa. She'll take pictures that really capture the fun, love and happiness from your wedding day. Lisa is friendly, has a great sense of humour and bent over backwards to help us on our wedding day. Our personalities really come across in the photos. Additionally, and I can't stress enough how important this is, Lisa really helps put your mind at rest in the run up to the wedding. She always responded to emails, always answered all our questions and always made us feel like we were important to her.
If you’re planning a relaxed wedding and you’re looking for a photographer who will capture all the in between moments of your day, all the laughter and connections between your family and friends and someone who won’t boss you around and eat all your canapes, then please get in touch, I would love to hear from you!
