Wellbeing Farm Wedding – Leanne & Dave

Friday 13th Inspired wedding at Wellbeing Farm

Leanne & Dave had a beautiful Friday 13th Halloween inspired wedding at the beautiful Wellbeing Farm in Bolton. Leanne decided that she didn’t want bridal prep covering but wanted me to stay later on in the evening instead. I turned up to where Leanne had been getting ready at The Last Drop Village Hotel to meet Dave, her lovely groom. As they were having a fairly late ceremony I suggested having a first look prior to their ceremony. I love photographing first looks as you really get to capture both sides of the couple’s reactions to their partner in their wedding outfit. It also means that after the ceremony you’re both free to chill out and spend time with your guests!

Dave and Leanne didn’t want a traditional wedding so doing a first look suited them down to the ground. Leanne wore a gorgeous red Amanda Wakeley dress combined with a leather jacket and a Vivienne Westwood bag. Dave was looking dapper in his tweed New Look suit that he had matched with accessories from Blood Mary Metal. We also used the time after their first look to also do their couple photographs and group photographs. Doing it this way round makes the whole feeling of the day a lot more chilled and I would 100% recommend it if you’re having a late ceremony!

Your day, your way – set your own timeline

Leanne and Dave then sat down with their close friends and family to have some afternoon tea. They then made the short drive to their wedding venue, Wellbeing Farm. When I turned up to Wellbeing Farm I was absolutely blown away by how beautifully they had decorated it! And one thing is for sure, Leanne and Dave had completely put themselves into it, it looked amazing. They’d gone with an Autumnal/Halloween theme, so there were a lot of orange and rustic tones. They had also asked their guests to take part in a pumpkin carving competition, they used these pumpkins to line the aisle for their ceremony. The pumpkins ranged from sweet, funny and very rude, they were absolutely brilliant!

For Leanne walking up the aisle and during their ceremony, Leanne and Dave had Gledholt, an all male choir perform. This was significant to Leanne as it is her great uncle’s choir and they had previously performed at her mum’s wedding. They were so lovely to listen to, their guests (and myself included!) especially loved when they performed “My Girl’s a Yorkshire Girl” during the signing of the register.

After their ceremony Dave and Leanne spent time with their guests and also some Llama’s and Donkeys that live at Wellbeing Farm! For their evening entertainment they asked a couple of their friends to perform, this included an acoustic guitar, a kazoo, a wig, a wind machine and lots of audience participation, it was both brilliant and hilarious!

They then went into their first dance which was wonderful and looked absolutely stunning with Leanne’s low backed dress showing off her amazing tattoos and the beautiful fairy lights that were lining the ceiling of the barn. The dancing continued into the night and in between the ladies toilets turned into a dodgy back street tattoo parlour, with one of the young guests giving everyone who popped in a new temporary tattoo, a tequila station and marshmallow toasting! Thank you so much Leanne and Dave for letting me be part of your wonderful day!
