Charlie and James had their engagement shoot at their home farm in Bridgnorth. This also happened to be where they were having their wedding so it was a brilliant chance for me to get to know them both and to have a look round at their venue! My couples often worry about having their photo taken on their wedding day so an engagement shoot is always the perfect thing to ease you into it and relax you about it.
After Charlie and James’ shoot they sent me an email that said “Thank you so much these photos are gorgeous!! It was so good to meet you, we had a lovely evening and you’ve made us feel so much better about photos on the day! I’m actually quite looking forward to them now haha.”. This is absolutely the main aim of an engagement shoot, you’ll see how awesome you both look in front of the camera and instantly feel a lot better about doing it all again on your wedding day.
I really enjoyed hearing about all of Charlie and James’ plans for their day. Charlie parents have recently bought the farm so there was a lot of work to do to convert one of the barns into their wedding venue. Although it wasn’t quite finished for their engagement shoot it was lovely to hear about all their plans for it and also to see what they’ve done so far! These two have taken DIY to the extreme and have even made their own tables and benches for their wedding! To top it off Charlie has even set up her own floristry business too, called Ridges Farm Flowers so of course, she planned to make her own bouquet for the wedding day (spoiler alert, it was awesome!).
I absolutely loved getting to know these two during their engagement shoot and I can’t wait to share their lovely wedding with you, all the DIY definitely paid off!
