Apley Woods Engagement Shoot – Sarah & Ed

Sarah and Ed had their engagement shoot at Apley Woods in Telford. I love doing shoots here, it’s really easy to get to and there are loads of places for us to use during the shoot. This is usually the place I suggest for shoots when couples don’t know where they would like to do it. Most couples I photograph are pretty nervous before their engagement shoot, which I totally get, Sarah and Ed however had no nerves at all, they were so easy to photograph! One of my favourite shots from their shoot is of Ed giving Sarah a piggy back, this is a shot I would normally lead up to on a shoot but Sarah and Ed went for this at the first place we started taking photographs.

Engagement Shoots in Shropshire

After their shoot I knew that their wedding was going to be really lovely. We had a good chat about their plans on the shoot, and I’ve since shot their wedding and I can confirm it was awesome! They had their ceremony at St Mary’s Whitewell church in Whitchurch and had their reception back at Iscoyd Park. I love shooting at Iscoyd Park, it’s one of my favourite venues in Shropshire!

I love doing engagement shoots throughout the year, we did Sarah and Ed’s shoot in February so the snowdrops were out in force. Snowdrops have to be one of the best plants that’s around in winter! Another awesome thing about doing shoots and weddings in winter is the light. Winter light is absolutely gorgeous, especially sunset. Sunset is really early in winter which often means I get to shoot it more often in winter than in summer.

Keep checking back on the blog to see Sarah and Ed’s awesome Iscoyd Park wedding!
