Dorothy Clive Gardens are a beautiful charitable garden trust within the beautiful setting of Shropshire. I was over the moon to capture Emma and Dan’s beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony here! Dorothy Clive is such a unique setting for a wedding, ceremonies can take place in various areas throughout the venue, Emma and Dan chose to have theirs under the beautiful Belvedere Pavilion. Their ceremony was accessed by a stunning woodland walk and has views spanning for miles across the Shropshire countryside. I was absolutely blown away by this venue and thought it was a real hidden gem, I’ve been photographing weddings in Shropshire for 9 years now and I had no idea Dorothy Clive existed until Emma and Dan booked me.
Dorothy Clive Gardens Wedding
For their wedding ceremony Emma and Dan decided to have a celebrant, rather than registrars. Celebrant-led weddings are always really personal and also have the big bonus that there aren’t really any rules so you can do whatever you want! If you want a wedding ceremony that is funny, personal and the highlight of your wedding day, rather than the part to get out of the way, then it’s really worth considering a celebrant!
After their ceremony we took a walk around the gardens to capture some couple portraits and we were absolutely spoilt for choice for places to stop for them. I think I could shoot at this venue one hundred times and still find different areas to go, it is so expansive! Emma and Dan were the loveliest couple and they were so happy with their photographs they decided straight away after I delivered their wedding that they wanted a wedding album so they could have something tangible from their wonderful day to look back at.
I would love to photograph more weddings at Dorothy Clive Gardens, if you’re planning a wedding there then get in touch, I would love to hear from you!
