Port Meadow Engagement Shoot – Claire & Mike

Claire and Mike had their gloriously sunny engagement shoot in Port Meadow in Oxford. Port Meadow is such a scenic area in Oxford surrounded by trees, greenery and a river. I only usually offer engagement shoots nearby to my County of Shropshire, however as my partner Luke is based in Oxford at the moment I decided it would be lovely to explore it while doing an engagement shoot!

GETTING TO KNOW YOU

I always say this but engagement shoots are a wonderful way for us to get to know each other. This was the first time I’d met Claire and Mike and it was lovely to hear about all their plans for their day, how they met, etc! Mike originally from Australia, he moved over to the UK a few years ago after meeting Claire, we ended up having a good chat about Australia because I mentioned I was going there in June!

We actually had to rearrange Claire and Mike’s engagement shoot, as when we had originally planned it we had pretty much the worst snow ever, which would have made it a logistical nightmare for both of us to get there. As it turned out this was a brilliant plan because we ended up with such wonderful weather for their shoot, it couldn’t have been more different!

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE BIG DAY

Claire and Mike get married this weekend and I’m SO excited! Their wedding is in Lincolnshire so I’ll be making my way there on Friday ready to shoot their wedding on Saturday. They’ve got a few surprises lined up for their guests, which I’m not going to give away just yet but they’re certainly in for a treat! I’ll be blogging their wedding very soon so keep your eyes peeled!
