Shropshire Family Photographer | Shropshire Petals Mini Sessions

Two weeks. That’s all you get.
Every summer, Shropshire Petals opens its flower fields for just a fortnight, and every summer, I make sure I’m there with my camera. It’s become one of my favourite days of the year. The kind of place that does half the work for you, and then some.
This year I got to spend part of it with the Perrins.

Old Friends, New Chapters
Nicky and I go way back. School days, the kind of history that means you pick up exactly where you left off regardless of how many years have slipped by in between. When she got in touch to ask if I’d photograph her family, I felt that particular kind of warmth that comes from being trusted with something real.
They travelled back to Shropshire for it. That means something to me.
We wandered through the flower fields together, Nicky, her family, two small children full of energy and zero interest in standing still, and it was joyful and easy and exactly what a family session should feel like.
“Having known Lisa for many years she was my first choice for our family photos and we were happy to travel back to Shropshire to see her. We had a family shoot and love our photos, even with two small children we got lots done in the time and had lots of fun even though we are camera shy! We will definitely book again and have recommended Lisa to family.” — Nicky, The Perrins

A Note on Children’s Faces
You’ll notice I don’t share children’s faces on here, and I want to be open about why.
In an era of AI and the very real questions it raises around child protection online, I made the decision not to post images of children publicly. I apply the same rule to my own son. It doesn’t feel right to share others’ children when I wouldn’t share his.
But I want to be really clear: when you book a family session with me, you will receive your full gallery, faces, all of it, every beautiful unguarded moment. The restriction is mine and it’s online only. Your images are entirely yours.

Shropshire Petals | Why These Fields Are So Special
There is nowhere quite like it. Rows and rows of cutting garden blooms in full summer colour, the kind of light that turns golden without you even asking, and an atmosphere that makes even the most camera-shy families relax within about five minutes.
The fields are only open for two weeks each summer which means the mini session slots I offer there go quickly. Very quickly.
