Supplier Spotlight – Cut The Cake Kitchen

shropshire wedding photographyFor this month’s supplier spotlight, I’m featuring Emma from Cut The Cake Kitchen. Emma makes cakes for weddings and celebrations, she’s based in North Shropshire however delivers her cakes all over the midlands, North Wales and the North West. I’ve worked with Emma lots of times now, her cakes are a regular feature at weddings I shoot and they always look absolutely spectacular. I went to Emma’s house a few months ago to take some branding shots for her to use on her website and social media. This meant I also got to see where and how she made her cakes. It’s obvious from seeing any of her cakes how skilled she is, no two cakes are the same and she works in a variety of different styles so she can really achieve what you’re looking for for your wedding day. When I was photographing her I got to see how she made the cakes, iced them and also painted some. It was real treat to watch her work and I was so impressed by how talented she was.

If you’re on the hunt for your wedding cake then please go and take a look at Emma’s work and get in touch with her to arrange a consultation and all important taste testing. (I can confirm her cakes taste just as amazing as they look).

Here are Emma’s top tips for choosing a wedding cake…
“1. Gather your ideas. Hit the wedding websites and find what you love. Match your theme, colour scheme and wedding flowers.

2. Meet the baker. Always come for a consultation to discuss your ideas and get some sketches down on paper. Cake tasting is also essential of course.

3. Your wedding cake is a luxury item, therefore you should choose flavours that you love and not necessarily what you think your guests will love.

My light and airy champagne cake is a particular favourite of mine and a perfect choice for weddings.”

I’ll be sharing my next supplier spotlight at the end of next month so be sure to check back here to see who gets featured!
