Curradine Barn is one of those wedding venues that just gets it right — rustic charm, gorgeous countryside surroundings, and the perfect mix of cosy and elegant. Jade and Tom chose this beautiful Worcestershire wedding venue for their special day, and what a day it was!
From the moment I arrived at Curradine Barn, there was a real sense of excitement in the air. The sun was shining (all day, which felt like a miracle!) and the venue looked stunning. Their ceremony took place in the characterful barn, with its warm brick walls, wooden beams and romantic lighting setting the scene perfectly for their vows.
One of the things I loved most about this Curradine Barn wedding was how joyful and relaxed it all felt. Jade’s bridesmaids looked amazing in mismatched shades of green — a lovely nod to the season and such a visually striking choice in photos. The ceremony was full of smiles and happy tears, and you could just feel how loved and supported Jade and Tom are by their friends and family.
After the “I do’s,” guests enjoyed drinks in the courtyard while we explored the beautiful grounds for portraits. With the sun high in the sky, the biggest challenge was simply finding enough shade — a nice problem to have! Jade and Tom were absolute naturals in front of the camera, and we created some gorgeous portraits in the golden fields and under the trees that surround Curradine Barn.
As the sun began to set, we snuck away for a golden hour session — and wow, Curradine Barn really shines in that light! That soft, golden glow added so much warmth and romance to the images, and Jade and Tom looked like something out of a movie.
The barn was beautifully decorated for the reception, and one of the sweetest touches was the wedding cake — lovingly made by a friend. Personal touches like this always add so much heart to the day.
The real highlight for me was the first dance. As the music played, Tom picked Jade up and spun her around the dancefloor — it was pure joy! One of those spontaneous, emotional moments that remind me why I love photographing weddings.
After their gallery delivery, Jade and Tom sent me this message that absolutely made my day:
“Oh my goodness Lisa, these are absolutely perfect! We love them. We both look so happy in them. Thanks so much for capturing them and for everything on the day – you were wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.”
