Winter wedding at Iscoyd Park – Becky & James

“It was very important to us that our wedding day had a very relaxed, informal feel about it and from the moment we discovered Lisa, we knew she would be perfect.

On the day we hardly noticed Lisa’s presence (sorry!), apart from capturing a select few formal shots, she somehow managed to blend into the background. This then allowed Lisa to capture some amazing natural shots, of our guests and ourselves enjoying the day.

For the couple shots she allowed us to have some one-to-one time together, taking a step back to enjoy the day and in that moment she managed to capture some truly magical moments. Every time we look through the pictures we are taken back to the day, and Lisa managed to capture the atmosphere perfectly.

From the time we spent getting ready, to our friends and family enjoying some intimidate conversations throughout the day and then later at night when she captured everyone enjoying themselves on the dance floor!

Lisa has an incredible eye for detail and in her photographs the colours really pop, making full use of her surroundings. We really can’t thank Lisa enough for capturing our wedding day perfectly and I would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone else looking for a wedding photographer.”

Becky and James got married in winter at the gorgeous Iscoyd Park, which is a stunning country house in Whitchurch, Shropshire. It was such a happy day and the sun even made an appearance!

BRIDAL PREP

Becky got ready in the bridal suite of Iscoyd Park with her bridesmaids, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. The bride then walked down the grand staircase at Iscoyd to get to the ceremony. James got ready at Iscoyd in a seperate room to Becky This was super handy aswas able to pop across the library where he was getting ready and take a few snaps.

GETTING HITCHED

The ceremony was a beautiful service in a beautiful room at the venue. The ceremony room at Iscoyd Park has the most amazing windows, which makes for some gorgeous natural light which is perfect for photographs. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading. It was so emotional and such a personal service. As it was raining after their ceremony we did Becky & James’ confetti shot inside the ceremony room as they exited. This was wonderful and created such a joyful atmosphere.

THE RECEPTION

The reception was in a marquee at the venue. They chose Iscoyd Park because it’s so cosy and relaxed and they just fell in love with it. It was a winter wedding, which they’d made super cosy with the use of the colour red. I love shooting Iscoyd Park weddings because the grounds are absolutely amazing. I’m a recommended supplier for Iscoyd and I always jump at the chance of getting to shoot there.

They had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and a pizza truck in the evening. I loved Becky & James’ first dance, they didn’t just stick to one spot on the dance floor, they filled the entire floor with their moves. They decorated the venue with wintery decor and lots of greenery, because it worked so well with the time of year.

For dinner they had a slap up meal, which was absolutely delicious. The first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going, and they finished off the evening with a sparkler exit.

The funniest part of the day was the dancing, because the moves were hilariously bad. I love a full dance floor at a wedding, it’s the time where I always get the funniest photographs.

THE COUPLE

Becky wore a Kenneth Winston dress and James wore a Samuel Windsor Tweed Suit and they looked so dapper. Becky’s flowers were gorgeous and wild and James’s suit was so unusual, I loved it.

Becky and James’s wedding was so much fun and so laid back. Here’s their stunning wedding!
