Simon & John’s Elegant Iscoyd Park Wedding

Simon and John’s wedding at Iscoyd Park was one of those days that wrapped you up in emotion from the moment you arrived. The house stood glowing in the late-summer light, with anticipation humming gently around the grounds as family and friends gathered to celebrate two people whose love is full of joy, humour, and deep connection.

The morning was wonderfully calm. Simon and John got ready at Iscoyd, surrounded by their closest people, both looking incredibly stylish in their suits from Grooms Chester, classic, sharp, and full of personality. The bridesmaids and flower girl wore beautiful dresses from Belle & Bouquet, their soft tones adding to the elegance of the day.

The ceremony took place in Iscoyd’s stunning rooms, filled with an abundance of florals by White Wysteria. Their arrangements were breathtaking, lush, sculptural, and designed perfectly for the space. Flowers trailed along the aisle, bloomed across the reception tables, and framed doorways in the most inviting way. They truly transformed the venue.

After the ceremony, guests made their way outside where the newlyweds were welcomed with a burst of Shropshire Petals confetti, always a favourite moment to capture. The atmosphere was full of celebration, and the love between Simon and John radiated through every second.

One of my favourite highlights of the whole day happened on the front steps of Iscoyd: the bouquet toss. It was lively, funny, and full of that gorgeous golden August light. It’s the kind of photograph that tells you everything you need to know about the joy of the day.

And then came the surprise that completely changed the energy of the afternoon, the singing waiters. Nobody saw it coming. One moment everyone was settling into their meal, and the next the entire room was on its feet, laughing, clapping, and singing along. It was such a fun twist and added a sense of pure celebration to the middle of the day.

Their cake was made lovingly by John’s mum, which already made it incredibly special. But during the cake cutting, it became one of the funniest moments of the entire wedding. The cake wobbled, dangerously, and for a split second looked like it might topple over. The reactions were priceless, and the photos from that moment still make me smile. It’s those unscripted, real, joy-filled moments that make a wedding day unforgettable.

As evening fell, music filled the air once more this time from The Hustle Band, who kept the dance floor packed and buzzing. The party rolled on through the night, full of laughter, dancing, and the kind of warmth that only comes from celebrating two people who are truly loved by everyone around them.

Simon and John’s day at Iscoyd Park was a celebration full of beauty, heart, and unforgettable moments, from exquisite flowers to confetti showers, singing waiters, wobbly cakes, and everything in between. It was a joy from beginning to end, and an honour to capture every second of it.
