There’s something incredibly special about photographing couples at different milestones in their lives, and Lucy & Vic are one of those couples who feel like old friends every time we meet. I photographed their engagement shoot, their wedding, and now their maternity session, each one marking a new, joyful chapter in their story together.
Their engagement shoot and wedding both took place on a beach, with soft sand, rolling waves and that endless horizon framing their love perfectly. So when they asked me to capture their maternity session, we hoped to keep that sense of openness and calm that the sea always brings.
A Peaceful Day in Ledbury
This time, we headed to Ledbury, a gorgeous setting full of charm, countryside quiet and softly changing winter light. While we couldn’t make it to the beach for this session, we did manage to find a small body of water tucked away, giving us that same peaceful feeling the three of us have always gravitated toward.
It felt like a subtle, meaningful nod to their past sessions, a reminder of where their journey began and how beautifully it’s unfolding.
Capturing Connection, Laughter & Anticipation
Lucy & Vic are radiant at every session I shoot, but there was something even deeper this time. There’s a softness and a quiet excitement that naturally comes with maternity photography, and they brought that in the most gentle, beautiful way.
We wandered, chatted, laughed (as always), and paused often to take in the views around us. The calmness of the water reflected the moment perfectly, still, hopeful and full of promise.
I always keep my maternity sessions relaxed and natural, and these two make that effortless. They fall into place together, sharing small looks and smiles that speak louder than any direction. It’s such a joy to witness, let alone photograph.
A Journey I’ve Loved Documenting
Being welcomed back into Lucy & Vic’s world time and time again has been one of the greatest privileges. From beach windswept hair at their engagement session, to salty air and sand on their wedding day, to this quiet, heartfelt day in Ledbury, every chapter has been filled with warmth, connection and a real sense of home between them.
Capturing their growing family felt like completing a beautiful circle. I can’t wait to meet their little one and hopefully continue documenting their story as it unfolds.
