There’s something special about summer weddings at Netley Hall, the rolling Shropshire countryside, the grand architecture, and that magical golden light that seems to linger a little longer. Laura and Theo’s wedding in August 2022 captured all of that and more. Their day was filled with laughter, music, and the kind of joy that radiates from two people who are truly meant to be together.

Getting Ready
Laura spent the morning surrounded by her bridesmaids at Netley Hall, with the talented Vanity Welshpool team on hand for hair and makeup. The atmosphere was relaxed and full of excitement as everyone got ready for the day ahead. Laura looked beautiful in her Wed2B dress, classic, graceful, and perfectly suited to her calm, happy energy. The bridesmaids wore elegant dusky pink / mauve dresses, reminiscent of the soft tones of Memory Lane roses, while the groomsmen looked sharp in navy suits from Moss Bros, perfectly complementing the gold and blush details throughout the day.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the main hall at Netley, a beautiful backdrop for their heartfelt vows. Becky Langan, a talented guitarist, set the mood with her live acoustic music as guests took their seats, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight as Laura walked down the aisle.
Confetti & Celebrations
After the “I dos,” the couple were showered in natural petal confetti from Serendipity in Welshpool, a joyful moment that looked incredible against the Hall’s stone arches. Guests mingled during arrival drinks while Susan Lambert, a harpist, and Nula Hula, an entertainer who brought a touch of sparkle (literally!) to the afternoon, kept everyone smiling.
Styling & Details
The wedding breakfast hall was transformed into something truly magical, with fairy lights draped across the ceiling creating a warm, romantic glow as the evening drew in. TMS Events supplied elegant white chair covers with gold accents, tying in beautifully with the couple’s white, gold, navy, and dusky pink colour palette.
The floral arrangements, again by Serendipity, featured soft pinks and mauves, delicate, modern, and perfectly complementing the natural beauty of the venue.
Guests enjoyed a delicious meal followed by the sweetest treats, a stunning cake baked by Alison, a local baker, and Shropshire Macarons by George as favours.
Evening Magic
As the sun set over the Shropshire hills, the celebration carried on with Steve the Mobile DJ keeping the dance floor full all night. Outside, Nula Hula returned with a dazzling light show that captivated guests young and old, a truly unforgettable way to round off a perfect day.
Laura and Theo’s wedding was a beautiful mix of elegance, laughter, and creativity, every detail chosen with love. From the fairy-lit ceiling to the glowing smiles that filled every photo, it was a joy to capture their story at such a stunning venue.
