Dog Photography that really captures who your dog is

If you're anything like me you'll have thousands of photographs of your dog on your phone (I've needed to upgrade my phone storage more times than I would care to admit purely because of this). My dog, Cooper, is definitely everyone's favourite family member and it only seems right to have some beautiful, professional images of him being the loving, happy, energetic, ridiculous guy he is. I'm constantly taking photographs of Cooper and whenever anyone brings their dog to an engagement shoot, I'm always over the moon and will make sure to include them in most of the photographs and also make sure I get at least one portrait of them by themselves.

After years of talking about it and intending to do it, I've decided to offer dog photography so you can get some beautiful photographs of your dog and WITH your dog. We can do the shoot anywhere you like, this can be at home, at their favourite walking spot or I can suggest a few places I often go with my own dog. I've grown up with dogs, I LOVE them and it doesn't matter to me what breed they are, if they're reactive (I've had a reactive dog myself so I know how hard it can be!), how big or small they are, whether you can have them off lead or not, I believe everyone deserves some beautiful photographs of their dog that they can treasure forever.

Photographs of your dog should capture their personality. They should also capture your relationship with your dog, I love getting beautiful photographs of dogs with their humans. You're their favourite people on this Earth and they have nothing but love to give. Having lost a few dogs over my life I have never regretted having photographs with any of them and I can promise you won't either. They're not here forever, let's make the most of them while we can.

frequently asked questions

I accept payment via bank transfer or cheque. Most people choose to pay by bank transfer as this is quickest!

Once you get in touch, we'll agree on a date, time and location for your shoot, the £95 session fee is due at the time of booking. After your shoot I'll be in touch within two weeks with your online gallery. This is when you choose from the above packages, Lone Wolf, Canine Collective or The Whole Pack. Once you've chosen and paid for your package you get to choose which digital images you'd like (or have them all if you go for The Whole Pack!) and you can pick your prints. Please note that the session fee doesn't include any images.

No problem! I totally understand that sometimes life gets in the way. I just ask that you give at least 48 hours notice so that your session time can be made available to other people. If your dog is ill for any reason or if the weather is bad we can rearrange, no problem.

I'd recommend bringing along something your dog values and will work for. For my dog this is a ball, he's absolutely ball obsessed! For your dog this may be high value treats (think cheese - not kibble!), you know your dog best so bring along whatever will work for them. I'd also recommend that they come to the shoot hungry so they're happy to work for food (if they're food motivated!), and it often helps to have taken them for a walk beforehand too to get some of their energy out so they're not constantly running around (a bit of this is fine though!)

Yes! Just let me know at the time of booking who will be coming along but that's absolutely fine, the more the merrier!

As a dog owner of a Labrador who's ears are sometimes just there for decoration, please know, I get it! No dog (or human for that matter) is perfect, I'm absolutely not there to judge their behaviour. I promise we can get beautiful photographs of them, which for your dog may be a lot of them living their best life, sniffing, running around or even rolling in the mud. I want to capture your dog exactly as they are, I want to capture a little slice of their personality that you get to treasure forever. It's a very sad fact that most of us will outlive our dogs, they're here for a good time, not a long time. We had a shoot for my German Shepherd a few months before he passed away and those photographs are now very sadly all we have and I'm SO glad we got them done. It doesn't matter if your dog is old, young, or a challenging teenager, the shoot will be adapted to them and whatever they love doing. I can't stress the importance of having beautiful photographs of your dog.

When you get in touch, don’t hold back. Tell me everything you want capturing, all the bits you want to remember forever.
