Chris and Kate’s Stockton House wedding was one of those days where the details quietly steal the show. From bold seasonal florals to a confetti moment that bordered on legendary, their June wedding was full of personality, colour and thoughtful choices that felt completely them.
While Chris and Kate kindly asked for their faces not to be shared, they generously gave permission to showcase the beautiful details of their day, and honestly, Stockton House is a dream venue for exactly that.

A Local Stockton House Wedding Venue I’d Love to Photograph Again
Stockton House is one of those venues that feels both grand and welcoming at the same time. Tucked away in the Shropshire countryside (and wonderfully local to me), it offers so much variety for a wedding day, from elegant interiors to stunning gardens that are perfect for outdoor ceremonies.
Chris and Kate had originally planned to say their vows outside in Stockton House’s gardens. June weather, however, had other ideas. Instead, their ceremony moved indoors, and it was just as special. The ceremony room, filled with natural light from Stockton House’s beautiful large windows, created a soft, romantic atmosphere that worked perfectly with their floral styling.
Seasonal Florals by Shropshire Flowers
The florals were a real standout throughout the day. Created by the incredibly talented Shropshire Flowers, everything felt seasonal, relaxed and full of texture.
Kate’s dried flower bouquet was a particular favourite of mine, soft, earthy and completely different from the traditional fresh bouquet. It suited the setting and the time of year perfectly, and photographed beautifully against her dress.
The table florals were equally memorable. The use of fruit woven into the arrangements was such a clever touch, and the strawberries instantly caught my eye. It was the first time I’d seen strawberries used as part of wedding table displays, and I absolutely loved how playful and summery it felt, ideal for a June wedding at Stockton House.
A Needle & Thread Dress That Broke the Rules (In the Best Way)
Kate wore a stunning green Needle & Thread dress, and I adored everything about that choice. It felt confident, personal and completely true to her style. I loved that she chose a dress she genuinely loved, rather than feeling any pressure to stick to traditional white.
That green tone paired beautifully with the florals and the historic backdrop of Stockton House, and it was a reminder that weddings don’t need to follow rules to feel meaningful or elegant.
The Confetti Moment They’ll Be Finding for Years
No Stockton House wedding blog would be complete without mentioning the confetti.
Chris and Kate went all out with an avalanche of colourful confetti by Proper Confetti, and it was incredible. Bright, joyful and utterly chaotic in the best way, it filled the space with colour and movement. I genuinely think they were still finding confetti weeks later!
From a photographer’s point of view, it was a dream. Against the exterior of Stockton House, the colours popped beautifully and created such a celebratory feel.
Why Stockton House Is Perfect for Detail‑Led Weddings
Chris and Kate’s wedding was a perfect example of how Stockton House shines when couples lean into thoughtful styling and personal details. Whether it’s dried florals, unexpected colour palettes, or bold confetti moments, the venue provides a stunning backdrop without ever overpowering the day.
As a local photographer, I’d absolutely love to photograph more Stockton House weddings. It’s a venue that works beautifully in all seasons and weather (even when plans change!), and it offers so many opportunities for relaxed, story‑driven wedding photography.
If you’re planning a Stockton House wedding and care about the little details as much as the big moments, it’s a venue that truly delivers.
