At Home Marquee Wedding – Abi & Adam

Some wedding days stay with you long after you’ve packed away your cameras, and Abi & Adam’s July celebration is one of them. From the calm, gentle atmosphere of their morning preparations to the laughter echoing around their family field later that night, the entire day felt full of heart.

A Peaceful Morning in the Sunshine

Abi spent the morning surrounded by her closest friends and family, getting ready in the most relaxed, serene way. She has this naturally peaceful aura, and it filled the room as she slipped into her Anna Capaldi Amelie dress, paired perfectly with soft sleeves, cream Dune shoes and her gorgeous floral crown sitting above flowing hair.

Her bridesmaids wore beautiful sage-cream silk dresses that moved gracefully in the summer breeze.

Adam and his groomsmen/bridesmen looked incredibly sharp in blue Donegal suits from Moss Bros, teamed with black shoes and belts, a modern, stylish choice that photographed so well against the soft countryside backdrop.

A Wholesome Church Ceremony

Their ceremony took place at St Mary’s Church in Stottesdon, Kidderminster, and it could not have been more heartfelt. The Maid of Honour, a mezzo-soprano opera singer, filled the church with the most moving music, a real goosebumps moment.

As Abi and Adam walked out as newlyweds, they were showered in natural white and red petals from Pretty Petals, the perfect joyful burst to start the celebrations.

Family, Fields & Music

The wedding party travelled using family cars, while Abi arrived in a gorgeous cream 1950s vintage car, elegant, understated and full of character.

Back at the family field, the marquee was beautifully set up for an afternoon of celebrating. Guests were greeted with the soft sounds of a string quartet during the champagne reception and wedding breakfast, setting the most wonderful atmosphere.

Their cake, created by Cakes By Karen, was a piece of art, white with sharp edges, touches of gold leaf, sage green marbling and a delicate gold hoop detail. Stylish, modern and beautifully crafted.

As the evening rolled in, Camden Duo took over and filled the marquee with energy, dancing and brilliant live music.

My Favourite Moment of the Day

While the whole day was special, my absolute favourite moment was their couple portraits down the drive as the festoon lights began to glow. There was something magical about that little stretch of the evening, the warm light, the soft background hum of guests laughing nearby, the two of them taking a moment together.

And, of course, their lovely dog joined us for photos too! A very good wedding guest and completely adored by everyone present.

A Day Full of Heart

Abi & Adam’s wedding was beautifully personal, full of family involvement, music, laughter, gorgeous details and genuine warmth. It was a joy to photograph every part of their celebration, and to witness how much love surrounds these two wonderful people.
