Francesca and Jim’s wedding was the kind of day that stays with you. Full of warmth, family, and beautifully personal touches, their celebration was truly one-of-a-kind—from an unexpected ceremony location to a relaxed, love-filled reception at the gorgeous Cider Barn at Dunkertons Cider Mill in Pembridge.

Their day began with a truly unique setting for the ceremony: Judges Lodging in Presteigne. Not your typical wedding venue—but that made it all the more special. With its rich character and history, it provided an intimate and meaningful backdrop for Francesca and Jim to say their vows.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to some amazing vintage transport. Jim, who works in the police, arrived in style in a lovingly restored old police car from Brilyn Classic Car Hire, adding a fun and personal touch to the day. To top it off, some of Jim’s colleagues greeted the couple in uniform with warm smiles and a joyful flurry of confetti—such a lovely moment that had everyone beaming.
Guests travelled to the reception in a vintage bus, which added a wonderful nostalgic feel. It all tied into the theme of community and connection that ran through the day.
The reception took place at the beautiful Cider Barn in Pembridge, a truly stunning venue with so much character and the kind of peaceful, open outdoor space that makes everyone feel instantly at ease. With its mix of rustic charm and natural beauty, it was the perfect setting for a relaxed and joyful celebration. I would love to shoot here again—it’s a dream for any photographer who loves natural light and meaningful moments.
Francesca looked incredible in a floral wedding dress from Bridal Reloved Shrewsbury, with thoughtful finishing touches from Stephanie Kyles Bridal for her alterations and veil. Her look was romantic, elegant, and a perfect reflection of her personality—gentle, joyful, and quietly radiant.
The flowers were created by the talented Flowerscape Florists, with soft textures and beautiful colour that brought the whole day together so naturally. And the cake was a true family affair—homemade by Francesca, her mum, and her mother-in-law, then decorated lovingly by a family member. It doesn’t get more heartfelt than that.
There was such a strong feeling of love, support, and community throughout the day. It wasn’t just about two people getting married—it was about two families coming together and celebrating something deeply real and lasting.
If you’re planning a Cider Barn wedding or thinking of a relaxed, family-focused day in the countryside, Francesca and Jim’s celebration is proof that it can be beautiful, meaningful, and full of joy—without ever feeling too formal or overdone. Just love, laughter, and the people who matter most.
I’d love to return to Cider Barn again—so if you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s personal, peaceful, and full of heart, I’d be honoured to capture it for you.
