There’s something really special about photographing a business owner at a point of change, especially when that change is deeply connected to motherhood.
I recently had the pleasure of capturing a personal branding session for Odjus Coaching, a relationship and lifestyle coaching business that’s been growing quietly (and passionately) for nearly three years. This year marks a big shift: a full rebrand and a new niche, with a clear intention to turn what started as a passion project into a thriving business.
You could feel that energy throughout the shoot.
Stepping Into a New Season
This was Tia from Odjus Coaching’s very first professional photo shoot, perfectly timed with her rebrand. The goal was simple but powerful: to show up more professionally online and create imagery that truly reflects who she is now, both as a coach and as a mum.
Her work supports women who are entering (or have recently entered) motherhood, a season that’s beautiful, emotional, overwhelming, and transformative all at once. So it felt important that the session reflected that reality, not just polished headshots.
We wanted the photos to feel real, gentle, and grounded.
What We Captured
For this session, we focused on a mix of:
- Clean, relaxed headshots for social media
- Natural lifestyle moments playing with her baby, we were careful to avoid his face as Tia doesn’t show his face online
- A few working shots at her desk, proving that yes, even a spare room can look professional!
Her branding colours are soft naturals, nude, beige and light pink, which worked beautifully with the calm, at-home setting and helped create a cohesive, feminine feel across the gallery.
Nothing forced. Nothing overly posed. Just honest moments that tell her story.
