Longbourn Estate Barn is a stunning rustic, barn wedding venue in Warwickshire. I travelled here from my home county of Shropshire to capture Penny and Tim’s gorgeous September wedding. September is one of my favourite months, we very often get some of the best weather of the year then and Penny and Tim’s day was no exception! It’s no secret that I love a DIY wedding and I love a barn wedding so combining the two was a real dream come true for me to photograph.
When Penny and Tim first got in touch about their wedding day they made it clear that food was a really important aspect for them, so naturally catering was high on their list of priorities! Longbourn Estate Barn is such a special venue because they only host a few select weddings per year, they don’t even have an Instagram account so it’s not a wedding venue you will very easily stumble across, it’s a real hidden gem. One of the great benefits of Longbourn Barn is that they allow you to have any suppliers you choose there on the day, including caterers. Penny and Tim chose the amazing Caviar and Chips as their caterers and it was an amazing feast!
Penny wore a beautiful Grace Loves Lace gown, while Tim rocked up in a Beggars Run suit, these two looked the absolute bees knees! They’d dressed the barn out in festoon lights which always look amazing no matter the venue but it looked particularly stunning at Longbourn, they had Oakwood Events take care of the lighting for them and they did such a brilliant job.
Hair and make up were both taken care of by Stacey Peplow and Alice Derbyshire and they both absolutely smashed the brief, Penny and the bridesmaids all looked amazing! The flowers for the day really blew me away, I always say if I hadn’t chosen to be a photographer I’d train to become a florist so the flowers always really excite me on a wedding day. Lois at Little Garden Flowers did the most amazing job, I really hope we get to work together again soon!
