Garthmyl Hall is the most beautiful wedding venue set in the glorious Welsh countryside. I’ve captured a few weddings here now and every one is a real treat. I love country house wedding venues, they’re my favourite places to shoot. The light is generally always amazing and the grounds are brilliant for couple portraits and group shots. Vicki and Kev chose Garthmyl for their September wedding celebrations and we were treated to a glorious sunny day and got to make the most of Garthmyl’s gardens.
Relaxed outdoor wedding
I always love an outdoor ceremony, especially when the setting is as beautiful as this was. What’s not to love about a Welsh walled country garden? I’ve captured ceremonies in all of Garthmyl’s available ceremony spaces now and they’re all as wonderful as each other. If you’re considering Garthmyl for your wedding venue you really can’t go wrong. There’s a completely separate area for your partner’s prep so there’s no chance of you running in to each other in the morning, there’s ample space outside for your drinks reception and the windows inside are huge so light is no issue!
Garthmyl Hall Luxury Country House Wedding Venue
I’ve photographed weddings at Garthmyl at different times of year and every wedding has been unique but just as wonderful. It’s no secret that September is my favourite month, we’re just starting to see some autumnal colours but the flowers are still in bloom, the light is great and we often get some of the best weather of the year in September.
One of my favourite shots from Vicki and Kev’s wedding has to be the bridal portrait of Vicki in amongst the dahlias just outside the walled garden. Since I last shot at Garthmyl they’ve added a wildflower meadow to their already spectacular grounds and I am so keen to go back there. If you’re planning a wedding at Garthmyl Hall and you’re still looking for your photographer, please drop me a message because I would love to hear from you.
