I always say that one of the best parts of my job is getting to follow a couple’s journey from “yes” to “I do” – and with Alice and Tom, I was lucky enough to do just that. We started the year with a relaxed engagement shoot in Haughmond, which was full of laughter, golden light and the easy connection these two share. Fast forward to May, and I had the joy of capturing their beautiful wedding day at the stunning Iscoyd Park on the Shropshire-Wales border.

Alice and Tom chose Iscoyd for its romantic charm and timeless elegance, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop for their spring celebration. The day began with preparations in two of the venue’s lovely spaces – Alice and her bridesmaids getting ready in the cosy Iscoyd Park Cottage, while Tom and the groomsmen got suited and booted in the main house.
The Morning and Ceremony
Alice looked effortlessly beautiful in her Laure de Sagazan gown from The Mews Bridal in Bristol, paired with elegant Bobbies shoes. Her bridesmaids wore soft sage green dresses from TFNC, a perfect spring palette that complemented the fresh, natural florals created by Jacqui O. The morning was calm and joy-filled, with hair and makeup by Rebecca Forshaw adding those final touches of magic before it was time to head to the church.
The ceremony took place at St Mary’s Church in Whitewell, a charming countryside church just a short drive from the venue. As Alice walked down the aisle, accompanied by the beautiful sounds of Nero String Quartet, there were smiles, tears, and all the heartfelt moments that make a wedding ceremony so special.
Confetti, Celebrations and a Gorgeous Reception
After a joyful confetti throw (thanks to Shropshire Petals), the new Mr and Mrs arrived back at Iscoyd Park in style – in their own white Mini – ready to celebrate. Drinks and canapés on the lawns gave everyone a chance to soak in the sunshine and share hugs and congratulations, while I captured plenty of relaxed, candid moments along the way.
Inside, the reception space had been beautifully styled by the Iscoyd team, creating an elegant, welcoming atmosphere for the wedding breakfast. Before sitting down to their meal at 4:30pm, guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches that had everyone laughing (and maybe wiping away a few happy tears too).
The cake – a delicate creation by Pink Cocoa (Sarah) – was almost too pretty to cut, and the evening party kicked off in style thanks to Jonny Ross Music and DJ James, who kept the dance floor full all night long.
A Few Words from the Newlyweds
After the wedding, Alice and Tom sent me the loveliest message:
“Thank you so SO much. We love them and can’t stop looking at them. Every time we do, we have a new favourite! You really captured the day perfectly.”
It was such a joy to be part of this day and to document every little detail – from quiet, emotional moments to the big, joy-filled celebrations. Alice and Tom, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your story.
