Laura and Jamie’s July wedding at Iscoyd Park was everything you’d hope a summer celebration to be, full of love, laughter, personal touches, and a packed dance floor late into the night. With rowing playing a big part in both of their lives, it felt like the perfect mix of elegance and fun, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Morning at Iscoyd’s Cottage
Laura began her day in the beautiful Iscoyd Park cottage, the perfect cosy hideaway for bridal preparations. Hair stylist Jen from The Wildflower Hair Company created a soft, romantic look, while makeup artist Maxine Smith worked her magic to give Laura the most natural, glowing finish. Her mum, bridesmaids, and closest friends filled the cottage with excitement as the morning unfolded.
When it came time to put on her gown, Laura looked incredible in her dress from Alice Rose Bridal, timeless, elegant, and perfectly “her.” Meanwhile, Jamie and his groomsmen looked sharp in tailored suits from Peter Posh, bringing classic style to match the venue’s elegance.
A Church Ceremony Full of Personal Touches
The couple had always known they wanted a church ceremony, and it couldn’t have been more heartfelt. Family and friends watched with smiles and happy tears as Laura and Jamie exchanged their vows. Afterwards, they stepped out to a flurry of homemade confetti, lovingly created by the couple themselves, a colourful, joyful touch that made for the most brilliant photographs.
Florals & Styling
Laura and Jamie wanted their day to feel natural and relaxed, letting the beauty of Iscoyd Park shine. Flowers were an important detail, and Rebecca from Ivy, Pip and Rose created arrangements full of soft, seasonal blooms and greenery. Laura’s bouquet was stunning, wild yet elegant, and it tied together the romantic, summery feel of the day beautifully.
Their styling was intentionally simple: no over-dressing, just thoughtful details that let the venue’s character and gardens set the scene.
A Homemade Cake & Heartfelt Family Touches
One of the most special elements of the day was the wedding cake, lovingly made by Laura’s mum. Not only did it taste incredible, but it also held so much meaning, a reminder of how family came together to make this day theirs.
Guests were transported in style by Manor Bridal Cars, adding a touch of tradition to the celebrations.
An Evening to Remember
As the sun set, the celebrations moved indoors where the band Truly Medley Deeply kept the party going with their incredible live sets. The dance floor was never empty, from the first track to the last, and it was exactly the kind of fun-filled atmosphere Laura and Jamie had hoped for.
Stand-Out Memories
Some of my favourite moments from Laura and Jamie’s day included:
- Laura getting ready with her bridesmaids in Iscoyd’s cottage, the air full of excitement and laughter.
- The confetti toss outside the church, so much joy in one moment.
- The warm summer evening light in the Iscoyd gardens, the perfect backdrop for their couple portraits.
- A packed dance floor with Truly Medley Deeply leading the party, the energy was electric.
Laura & Jamie’s wedding was the perfect blend of elegance and laid-back fun. A day that celebrated not just their love story, but also the people closest to them.
