“Lisa was everything you’d want a wedding photographer to be. Assertive when it came to arranging group shots and getting everyone to be where they needed to be, discreet when getting the more candid and personal shots, and creative and innovative in getting photos that aren’t just your ‘bog standard’. Being 30, my news feed is FULL of picture of people’s weddings, babies, pets etc! Lisa’s photos really stood out. They were stunning. Without sounding disrespectful, I barely noticed Lisa all morning during bridal prep! I really wanted to focus on enjoying the day and being in the moment, rather than worrying out being snapped and having a camera in my face! She stuck to the brief perfectly. In fact when we looked through all the photos of the morning, I couldn’t believe how many amazing shots she’d managed to get without me even being aware. Back at our venue after the church, Lisa took James and I away to the grounds for some photos of just the two of us. She made us feel really comfortable and had a really good knowledge of the location which meant she knew exactly where to take us and how to get the best light. She was a true professional throughout. The photos really capture the day perfectly. We really loved reliving the day when we went through them. Overall she a pleasure to deal with from the moment I get in touch to enquire about pricing, to getting over the finished work. I would highly recommend.”
Charlotte and James got married in February at the lovely Iscoyd Park, which is a stunning venue in Shropshire. They had their ceremony at Whitewell Church, which is a short drive away. It was such a happy day and the sun shone all day long!
GETTING READY
Charlotte got ready at Iscoyd Park with her bridesmaids and had her beautiful son popping in every now and then, and the atmosphere was so calm. They then rode the short distance to get to the ceremony. She was greeted by her family when she got to the church who walked up the aisle just behind her super cute flower girl and page boys. James got ready at Iscoyd Park in a separate room with his groomsmen.
THE WEDDING
The ceremony was a beautiful service in a stunning church not far from Iscoyd Park. The most striking thing about the aptly named Whitewell Church is that it is white, it’s so unusual. During the ceremony they had everyone sing Eternal Flame by the bangles. It was a brilliant way of involving everyone in the ceremony and very funny. At one point in the ceremony all of Charlotte’s immediate family began to cry, it was so lovely.
THE RECEPTION
The reception was in a marquee at Iscoyd Park. They chose the venue because the light is gorgeous and they just fell in love with it. It was a winter wedding, which was perfect for how they chose to style it. I love shooting Iscoyd Park weddings because they’re always just incredible.
They a string quartet in the afternoon, and an ice sculpture in the evening. They also had a live band and the amazing Iscoyd Park pizza truck for guests to tuck into to soak up some alcohol. They decorated the venue with gorgeous trees and blossom trees, because it worked so well with the time of year. It looked amazing! Red Floral did all the decoration in their marquee and it was so impressive as always.
For dinner they had a slap up meal, which was loved by all the guests. The first dance was a romantic slow dance, and they finished off the evening with pizza from the pizza truck.
The most memorable part of the day was the ceremony, because it was so romantic and personal.
THE COUPLE
Charlotte wore a pronovias dress and James wore a Whitfield and Ward suit and they looked so perfect. Charlotte’s flowers were absolutely stunning, she opted for a very simple bouquet with white roses and James’s suit was brilliant, it was navy blue twinned with a tweed waistcoat.
Charlotte and James’s wedding was so much fun and so laid back. Here’s their gorgeous wedding!
