The Welcombe Hotel is a beautiful hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon nestled inside 157 acres of landscaped grounds. It was a wonderful choice for Emily and Paul’s wedding, all the way back in 2016! I can’t believe I’m only just getting round to blogging this wedding!
I arrived at bridal prep to be greeted by Emily’s beaming face, full of excitement! I began by photographing her wedding dress. When I first met Emily and Paul I could tell that their wedding was going to be a bit different, I wasn’t disappointed as Emily showed me her gorgeous dusty pink wedding dress! Who says wedding dresses have to be white?!
Emily and Paul’s ceremony took place at St Nicholas’ Church is Alcester. Emily walked down the aisle arm in arm with her dad who gave her away, to be greeted by a very emotional Paul. I don’t often get to photograph a crying groom!
After their ceremony they made their way back to the The Welcombe Hotel for their reception. The weather unfortunately made a turn for the worst so we did most of their group shots and couple shots inside. For their couple shots we went for a wander up to their honeymoon suite and Emily and Paul had a cuddle in front of the window. Rain on a wedding day certainly doesn’t have to ruin anything! There are always places inside that can be used for couple portraits, nice window light is always something I’m looking out for!
Later on in the day, after their wedding breakfast, we went outside as the weather had perked up quite a bit so we could finally get some lovely shots of the two of them outside in the grounds of the The Welcombe Hotel! I loved photographing at this venue and would love the chance to go back again for a wedding to explore more of the grounds they have to offer!
