The Giraffe Shed in a badass wedding venue in Tregynon in Central Wales. It’s run by the amazing Hannah, and her family. Hannah is a wedding photographer in her own right so you know the venue is going to be awesome when a photographer has built it. She’s thought about everything from light, space and outdoor areas too. The venue itself is a barn with absolutely massive windows to the side and an amazing couple of feature walls. The best thing about The Giraffe Shed is that you can totally customise the space to make it completely your own and do whatever you want with it.
Styled Shoot at The Giraffe Shed
I was absolutely over the moon when Hannah asked me to be part of a styled shoot at The Giraffe Shed alongside various other awesome suppliers. It was the first time that I had seen the shed when I pulled up for the shoot and I was absolutely blown away by how amazing it was and the work Hannah and her husband Neil had put into it. I couldn’t wait to get cracking with taking photographs in there!
There was such a great team put together by the Make up artist Hannah and Jazmin, who was providing the wedding gowns. The dresses provided by Jazmin at Flamingo Boulevard Bridal were amazing, they were really boho, ethereal dresses which suited the shoot so well. I’m personally a massive fan of the boho look as well so I’m always really pleased when I get to shoot boho dresses. Hannah was in charge of the make up, along with actually putting the shoot itself together. All in all Hannah and the hair stylist Charlotte completed two looks for the shoot, a daytime and a night time look, we also had different dresses and flowers for this too. Hannah and Charlotte worked some serious magic on the models with both the hair and the make up, Alice and Sam were gorgeous anyway so certainly didn’t need any help but it was amazing seeing the different looks on them. I’d absolutely recommend both Hannah Carson Make up and Charlotte Medford Hair Design if any of you guys are still looking for your hair and make up artists! They were really easy to get along with and the hair and make up looked amazing.
For the floral masterpieces we had The Flower Hall, who are based in Ormskirk but travelled down for the day to do the shoot with us. I couldn’t quite believe how many flowers she had brought with her and was really blown away by both the bouquets she created and the floral installations too. For the stationary we had Knock Knock Penny Studio which again I was absolutely blown away by her designs, I especially loved the wax seals that she does, I’m even considering getting some of my own! We had not one but THREE cakes made by the awesome Sam at Sam’s Sweet Treats. One was a very simple, three tiered pastel cake, the second was a cut crystal cake and the third cake was probably my personal favourite, it was a chocolate cake adored with gold foiling and fruit. I honestly couldn’t get over the sheer amount of talent that had come together to make this shoot possible. I’m so excited to get the chance to shoot at The Giraffe Shed again soon!
Book The Giraffe Shed now!
The Giraffe Shed currently has a slightly insane offer on at the moment for 2019 weddings, they’re offering the venue, a licensed bar, and furniture (e.g. tables and chairs) for £995. Under a thousand pounds for a wedding venue is honestly an absolute bargain, I’ve already told Hannah if I was engaged myself I’d be all over that! You have the option of having a civil ceremony in the barn, a humanist ceremony in the barn, or if the weather is really lovely, a humanist ceremony outside the barn next to the pond. This venue is a photographers dream! If you’ve booked The Giraffe Shed for your wedding then please do get in touch, I would absolutely love to shoot there again!
