Reuben’s Christening

It’s not very often I do family shoots however when Mat and Sasha asked me to photograph little Reuben’s Christening I jumped at the chance! This little dude is so cute, he’s so photogenic! I arrived at the church to find Reuben looking very smart in his little shirt and bow tie, he was loving all the attention he was receiving off everyone as they arrived. When it came to the time where Reuben was baptised we were all expecting him to have a bit of a cry, but he was as good as gold and took it all in his stride.

After the Christening we made our way back to Wrockwardine Village Hall to celebrate. I loved getting chance to shoot at the village hall as it’s only 5 minutes away from my house! Mat and Sasha had got the cutest Peter Rabbit cake for the Christening as well as providing lots of other yummy food! After Reuben (and mummy and daddy) had had their dinner we went out into the field right next to the village hall to get some family photographs of the three of them. Reuben was in such a good mood so I was able to capture so many of his gorgeous smiles while he played with his mummy and daddy. He was loving being raised up into the air and flying like a plane! One of my favourite shots from the day is of Reuben with his mum, Sasha, where it’s just the two of them having a cuddle and sharing a bond that only parents have with their children. The only problem we had on the day was that it was a little bit too sunny and we really could have done with a bit more shade. Not a bad problem to have I’ll admit!

Knowing Mat and Sasha personally I’ve been lucky enough to know this little guy since he was born so it was really lovely to be there with them to celebrate such a happy day!
