Pryors Hayes Golf Club Wedding – Hannah & Rob

Pryors Hayes golf club

“Charlotte from Iscoyd Park recommended Lisa initially.  I had looked at so many different photographers and couldn’t see what I wanted. When I saw your photos I just fell in love. I showed Rob and he felt the same way. Couldn’t wait to book you! Just from talking to you in the phone I felt happy and relaxed from the start. You’re so chilled and flexible which is exactly what I wanted. You were more like a friend on the day and I didn’t feel any pressure or worry which I thought I might with a photographer. We were completely overwhelmed with the photographs, you caught every amazing moment and managed to take photos of all of our guests without any direction from us!!! We just can’t thank you enough. I would say if you are a couple who wants relaxed, natural, humble, simple and beautiful wedding photos then book Lisa. She’s just gorge!”

Hannah and Rob got married in July at the beautiful Pryors Hayes Golf Club, which is a new venue in Chester. They had their ceremony at St Andrews Church, which is their the local church. It was such a happy day and the sun shone all day long!

Bridal prep

Hannah got ready at her parents home with her bridesmaids and parents, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. My favourite part of prep was when Hannah opened a gift from Rob, her reaction was really lovely! Hannah then gave out gifts to all her bridesmaids, which they all loved. Hannah’s dad’s reaction to seeing her in her dress for the first time was one of my highlights of the day, everyone had to try really hard not to cry and ruin their make up. The girls then jumped into a car to drive the short distance to the church to get to the ceremony.

The vows

The ceremony was a big church service at a stunning church in Tarvin in Chester. The church was absolutely lovely, with enough room for their many guests and it was beautiful and light inside the church. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading. It was such a personal service and it was obvious all their guests really enjoyed it. Their first kiss was something pretty special. Their vicar had given me a heads up to go to the back of the church at this point in the ceremony and I’m so glad he did! Rob dipped Hannah back for the kiss and it looked absolutely stunning in front of the stained glass window of the church. The kiss got a lot of cheers and applause from all their guests!

The party

The reception was in the main hall at Pryors Hayes Golf Club. They chose the venue because it has so many options and they could totally personalise it. It was a really relaxed wedding, which suited Hannah and Rob down to the ground. I love shooting Pryors Hayes weddings because the light is just incredible. The main room in the venue has really big windows an the end of it which creates the most beautiful light in the room. This is absolutely perfect for photography.

They had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. Live bands always work so well because they’re usually really energetic and get all the guests going. They decorated the venue with gold spray painted meaningful objects and green foliage, because they wanted lots of personal touches in their day. I loved the gold spray painted centrepieces, they were really unique and some of them were a bit bonkers, but that’s right up my street. My favourite had to be the koala bear, I hadn’t long been back from Australia when Hannah and Rob had their wedding so I loved any kind of throwback to that.

For dinner they had a slap up meal, which was loved by all the guests. The first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going, and they finished off the evening with a huge buffet.

The most memorable part of the day was the speeches, because they were really emotional and very funny at the same time.

The couple

Hannah wore Blue by Enzoani from Along Came Eve in Chester and Rob wore a very dapper black tie suit complete with a bow tie and they looked so amazing. Hannah’s shoes were awesome, she chose to wear Toms because they’re super comfy and she doesn’t really do heels and Rob’s shoes were Kurt Geiger.

Hannah and Rob’s wedding was so chilled and everything I love about weddings. Here’s their Pyrors Hayes wedding!
