I went to meet Simone and Demsey to have a chat about their wedding, afterwards we went for a small walk to the old fire station in Coventry city centre. We then did a mini Engagement session outside the old fire station, Simone and Demsey chose this particular place for their shoot as this is where they first met, I thought that was such a lovely idea!
They had also brought along a couple of props for the shoot which I thought was brilliant and showed off a bit of their creative flair! One of their friends that Simone had met at university had made an illustration of each of their faces that had then been placed into matching ornate frames. We then had them stand in front of the bright red old fire station door and hold the illustrations up in front of their faces. I loved the effect it created and thought it was such an unusual and creative idea for an engagement session!
I also really loved their individual styles, Simone’s 50’s style dress is absolutely stunning and who doesn’t like a floral shirt? While we were shooting Simone asked if I could grab a photograph of her Engagement ring, to which my answer was “of course!” and promptly fell in love with it! It’s a beautiful, vintage style ring with a bright blue sapphire surrounded by diamonds, it also happened to compliment the colour of her dress!
These two are getting married in September this year at The Granary at Fawsley and I know it’s going to be a brilliant wedding! Simone and Demsey managed to bring a lot of creative flair and brilliant ideas to a 20 minute Engagement session so I know their wedding is going to be beautifully creative with lots of attention to detail. I can’t wait to shoot it!
