Kerry and Dave had their wedding at the wonderful Bagnall Village Hall in Staffordshire. It’s a really lovely village hall in a beautiful countryside setting. They got married in the lovely Bagnall Church in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire. As Kerry was getting ready at their family home not too far from their village hall reception I decided to go and take a peep at their reception before heading to bridal prep. Having shot at Bagnall Village hall before I was astounded by how different they had managed to make it look, they had had a marquee put up on the inside of the village hall, so that it no longer looked like a village hall at all! I then made my way round to their house for bridal preparations, everything was very chilled out with only Kerry, her daughter and the hair and make up ladies there. Kerry and her daughter ended up being ready within plenty of time so had a carton of orange juice and we had a bit of a chat on their sofa, which is quite unheard of on a wedding day! When the time came Kerry’s daughter helped her get her dress on, and what a stunning wedding dress it was!
They turned up to the church in a beautiful bright blue/green American style wedding car, looking slightly nervous and a whole tonne of excited. Kerry had her daughter give her away which I LOVED, it was certainly very emotional. After their ceremony Kerry, Dave and I went for a short drive to a lovely place nearby that they had picked out themselves as somewhere they wanted to have their couple photos taken. I really loved that they had taken the time to think about this before their day, it really showed how much they had thought about their photography and how they would like their photographs to look. We pulled up to this lovely green patch with a wild and rocky background, as they asked “Is this okay?” Erm, YES!! They seemed slightly nervous before I started snapping away, which is completely normal but I just told them to completely ignore me and focus on each other, it worked a treat. The couple shoot is such a special time in a wedding day, it’s one of the only chances you as a couple get to spend some time to yourself on your wedding day and get to have that wonderful realisation of “Damn we actually did it, we’re bloody married!”
For their meal they opted for some gorgeous afternoon tea, which unfortunately they didn’t get to eat too much of because they were too busy spending time with and chatting to all their guests, not to mention jumping on the bouncy castle. I was very excited when Kerry and Dave mentioned that they were going to have a bouncy castle at their wedding and I have to be honest, I was not disappointed. They make for some great shots, keep the kids amused and if the bride and groom are adventurous enough to get on and have a go as Kerry and Dave were it proves to be complete fun for everyone!
Before their wedding Kerry and Dave said that they wanted their wedding to be very family orientated and it turned out that that’s exactly what they had. Kerry’s daughter helped her get her dress on, gave her away and even did her own speech. It was an incredibly laid back and enjoyable day for everyone who went, I didn’t see one guest without a smile on their face! After I delivered their wedding Kerry sent me a message that made me so happy I nearly ended up in tears myself:
“I have no clue where to begin….. the presentation of the box we opened was absolutely beautiful and so unexpected. Thank you so much for the beautiful package and lovely card. Another massive shock were the amazing prints you have done for us.
Then the photos, wow picture this, we plugged the memory stick into the TV pressed play and boom it took us straight back to the 4th June. Now bare in mind I didn’t cry on the actual day, I sat there and sobbed my heart out along with Dave and Amy. The quality and the style are better than we could have ever imagined. We adore every single one of them!
Lisa you are truly amazing, thank you doesn’t seem enough. You have truly captured the best day of our lives and we are so grateful. We are overwhelmed thank you so so much.”
