Laura and Jay had the most beautiful engagement shoot at Iscoyd Park in Whitchurch. They were having their wedding here later in the year so it was the perfect option for us to do their engagement shoot there too. Laura was a little bit worried before the shoot that their engagement shoot photos and their wedding photos would look the same. I totally understood her concern so we decided to use the more obvious areas of Iscoyd, and the areas we would most likely use on their wedding day and go a bit futher away from Iscoyd itself. This meant that we even ventured to a field that was a little walk away that would be too far to go on a wedding day but was perfect for the engagement shoot. As we started walking to the field it starting absolutely hammering it down with rain, thankfully I had my umbrella with me but I was a bit worried their shoot was going to be a bit of a wash out. When we started shooting in the field Laura and Jay were huddled under an umbrella while I got very wet photographing them both. Thankfully as quickly as the rain had begun, it stopped! The rest of the shoot was beautifully dry and we had really gorgeous light.
These two were the cutest to photograph, they laughed so easily together! It was so lovely to hear about all their plans for their day and I could tell how excited they both were to finally be marrying each other. Laura and Jay are exactly the reason why I do this job, seeing two people in love celebrating their relationship is the most wonderful thing. I’m so privileged to get to photograph weddings most weekends!
As you can probably imagine from this gorgeous engagement shoot, Laura and Jay’s wedding was also every bit as wonderful and stylish. I can’t wait to share it with you on the blog soon!
