Dunchurch Park Hotel is a gorgeous manor house wedding venue in the heart of Rugby in Warwickshire in the West Midlands. It is an absolutely gorgeous historic building which also boasts 72 acres or beautiful gardens and grounds, which make for the perfect backdrop for photographs.
Emma and Matt chose to get married here back in 2016 and I was lucky enough to be there to capture their big day. Emma was super organised and kept the rings with her prior to their ceremony so that I could get a nice shot of them before they put them on. This resulted in me getting one of my favourite wedding ring shots of last year, Matt’s ring in particular was really special, he’d had the date of their wedding engraved in roman numerals on the outside of his ring, it looked great and also gives him no excuse to forget their anniversary!
Emma and Matt exchanged their vows in the impressive Great Hall at Dunchurch Park. It’s the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony with beautiful large windows directly in front of the couple, meaning they’re bathed in perfect light throughout their ceremony! Their best man was on hand to pass them their rings!
Having shot Emma and Matt’s engagement shoot here I’d already had chance to have a good look round at all the places Dunchurch Park has to offer. This made picking spots for their couple portraits super fast. We revisited some areas from their favourite shots from their engagement shoot but also made sure to get shots that were completely different too.
After an emotional first dance we made our way outside to have a play with some sparklers. Sparkler shots always look beautiful, they tend to have quite a magical quality to them. If any of my couples request a sparkler photograph before their big day I always recommend to get sparklers that burn for a long time, this enables us to get everyone in position and everyone’s sparkler lit while also giving us time to get the perfect shot!
I asked the newlyweds to give me a quick write up about what it was like to work with me, they said…
Lisa is truly an outstanding photographer. Her relaxed approach made the whole experience so easy and worry free, and when we received our photos – we were simply amazed. She had completely captured the spirit of our wedding and every time we look at them we are transported back to that very special day. These photos were exactly what we wanted and we cannot thank her enough for the time and effort she put into making sure we were happy on the day. We would recommend Lisa without hesitation, she went above and beyond to give us a collection of photos that we will treasure forever.
